Amid the growing concerns around coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to take a moment to provide you with an update and share with you what we are doing to ensure a clean, healthy environment at Merkel Furniture and Carpet One.

To continue to serve our customers, at this time we have decided that our stores will remain open and deliveries and installations will continue as scheduled.

Please be assured that our first priority – now and always – is the health and safety of our employees, customers and the people in the communities we serve.

Here’s what we’re doing:

Closely monitoring the advice and guidance from the CDC
Educating our employees on preventative measures provided by the CDC
Increasing the frequency and extent of our cleaning practices, both in our showrooms and administrative offices
Employees who are sick are advised to stay home in order to not spread any illness to fellow employees or customers
Employees who have come in contact with a person who is suspected of having the corona virus will not come to work, and are recommended to self-quarantine

We will continue to watch this situation closely and take guidance for public health and safety from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Please know that we are taking all necessary steps to keep our local community safe and are prepared to take further action as this situation develops.

Our family company has encountered many obstacles over the last century of business, and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support as we overcome this latest challenge together.
